New "About" Page Almost Complete

I'm happy to introduce a bold new vision for the Misplaced Planet About page. It features a lot of new stuff, including a Contact form, our wonderful FAQs (submit new ones today), and a new blurb about Misplaced Planet Productions, all wrapped up in a fancy new package. Check it out.

In coming weeks, you can expect to see more features being unveiled. We'll have the Mailing List back, plus we'll get the Members page started, a few faces at a time. We'll have a navigable Flash site-map and even an old-fashioned links page.

Finally, in the category of long term plans, Music and Lyrics will be renamed Music and Sound, and will feature an MP3/Wave player. Lyrics will be restored shortly, in their new home, in the Writing Section's new "Poetry and Lyrics" area.

What would you like to see? A wiki-section? More artwork? More writing? Send in your work, or comment below with requests. How can Misplaced Planet serve us better. You know best.

Reject Bush's Supreme Court Nominee

Over the last weeks, Americans on both sides of the aisle have urged President Bush to nominate a moderate for the Supreme Court -- someone to honor the legacy of moderate conservative, Justice Sandra Day O'Connor. Instead, it seems that he wants to replace a woman who voted to uphold Roe v. Wade with a man who argued against it.

That man is John Roberts, a far-right lawyer and corporate lobbyist. Roberts opposed clean air rules and worked to help coal companies strip-mine mountaintops. He worked with Ken Starr, and tried to keep Congress from defending the Voting Rights Act. He argued and won the case that stopped some doctors from even discussing abortion.

One evening an old Cherokee Indian told his grandson about a "battle" that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all.

One is "Evil"...which is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is "Good " ... being joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee replied, "The one you feed."

I am very happy to announce that principal photography on Antebellum is complete!
